Serhii Parashyn

Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Chornobyl Research and Development Institute

More than 50 years in the power industry.

Began his career as a fast breeder research engineer at the Institute of Physics and Power Engineering (Obninsk, USSR).

Held engineering and management positions at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant during its commercial operation. Took an active part in the elimination of the Chernobyl NPP accident, as well as in the post-accident recovery operations.

In the post-accident period, served as the General Director of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

Worked as the counselor to the president of NNEGC "Energoatom" on Chornobyl NPP issues, Deputy General Director of Atomaudit LLC.

Headed the State Department of Exclusion Zone Administration of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Ukraine.

Served as Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

Counselor to the Head of the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management

Field of study - power engineering. Graduated from Odessa Technological Institute named after M.V. Lomonosov, field of study "Nuclear Power Plants and Installations".
